Why we exist

Most workspace operators require their members to carry general liability insurance and name the building as an additional insured. That requirement was written for traditional commercial tenants — not for someone who pays month-to-month for a dedicated desk and works out of three different cities.

Traditional small-business policies take days, ask dozens of underwriting questions, and often don't fit how flexible workspaces actually operate. Proximity Protect was built to close that gap: a fast, transparent program structured around the workspace itself, with the certificate delivered to the landlord the moment coverage binds.

How the program is structured

Coverage is placed through Colorado surplus lines and made available for workspaces nationwide under federal home-state law (the Nonadmitted and Reinsurance Reform Act). Joshua Freed serves as the designated responsible licensed producer for the program.

A sister product to the Proximity platform

Proximity Protect is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Proximity Space, Inc., the company behind the Proximity operating platform for coworking, flex space, and commercial real estate. The two products are built by the same team and share Live Link COI compliance, but operate as separate legal entities.
